Which career path suits my background? Why have I applied for so many positions without receiving interview invitations? Should I continue building my career in Europe, or explore opportunities in other markets? What do employers really value when they evaluate candidates?
These are questions that cannot be answered by a checklist or a generic job-search article.
That is why ZETA Consulting launched ZETA Coffee Chat, a public-interest career conversation initiative.
We simply want to create a space where students, graduates, and professionals who are pursuing opportunities in Europe can bring their CVs, share their questions, and have an open, thoughtful conversation about their career development.
Whether you visit our office in Porta Venezia, Milan, or join us online, the coffee is on us.
Sometimes, one meaningful conversation is worth far more than another “right answer.”
The idea behind Coffee Chat did not begin as an event or marketing campaign.
It grew naturally from our everyday work with companies and international professionals.
Over the years, we have seen that many talented individuals struggle in the job market not because they lack ability, but because they rarely have the opportunity to step back, understand themselves more clearly, and better interpret the market.
Some have submitted countless applications without hearing back. Others are approaching graduation but are unsure which career paths truly match their academic background. Some already have strong experience, yet find it difficult to communicate the value of their achievements in a way that resonates with employers.
Although these situations look different, they often stem from the same challenge: career development is highly personal, and there is no universal formula.
What often makes the biggest difference is not another online guide, but an honest conversation that connects personal experience with real market expectations.
That is the purpose of ZETA Coffee Chat.
One of the questions we hear most often is:
“Why are you able to help people think through their career direction?”
The answer is straightforward.
ZETA works closely with Chinese companies expanding across Europe and international markets, while maintaining long-term relationships with talented professionals from diverse countries, industries, and educational backgrounds.
Every day, we work alongside businesses to understand the people they need, the skills they value, the challenges they face, and how hiring expectations continue to evolve across different markets.
These insights do not come from online articles or theoretical research—they come from real recruitment projects, organizational consulting, and cross-border business practices.
Standing between employers and talent allows us to see both perspectives.
We understand not only how candidates search for opportunities, but also why companies choose one candidate over another, what makes a profile stand out, and how different career paths align with different capabilities and long-term potential.
In many cases, people are not held back by a lack of ability.
They simply have not yet identified their strongest strengths or learned how to communicate them effectively.
Coffee Chat is not about giving everyone the same career advice or planning someone’s future for them.
Instead, we aim to help participants better understand their own experiences through the lens of real business needs, recruitment practice, and current market trends, so they can make more informed decisions about their next step.
To date, ZETA has hosted multiple Coffee Chat sessions, both online and in person.
Participants have come from different academic disciplines, and stages of their professional journey.
Some are looking for internships or graduate opportunities in Europe. Others want to rethink their career direction, prepare for the international job market, or explore new possibilities after gaining professional experience.
The feedback has been encouraging.
Many participants have left with a clearer understanding of their career goals. Others discovered strengths they had previously underestimated. Some began to view their job search from the employer’s perspective for the first time, leading them to rethink how they present themselves professionally.
Perhaps the most rewarding outcome has been seeing participants recommend Coffee Chat to friends and classmates who are facing similar career questions.
For us, that trust means more than any testimonial.
Coffee Chat is also part of ZetaIMPRO., ZETA’s long-term international career development initiative.
Our vision is to connect businesses, universities, industry professionals, and internationally minded talent, creating more opportunities for young professionals to gain practical insights into today’s global workplace before entering it.

At ZETA, talent is never just a CV, an interview, or a successful placement.
Our goal is to build long-term, meaningful connections between companies and people—helping outstanding professionals be recognized, while enabling organizations to find individuals who are genuinely the right fit.
